Unlike other waves of immigration, we DO have a clash of civilizations in Ireland, Europe and the US. It is not a matter of nationality, or race. It is religion. It started in year 636 CE, when Arabs wrested Jerusalem from the Eastern Roman Empire, and the Muslim invasion continued with Islamic sieges at Tours (732 CE), Rome (846 CE), and finally Vienna (1683 CE), all aiming at the heart of Europe. The West has forgotten all that, but not the Islamists. When they say "Europe will be won by the wombs of ours mothers", they mean winning a clash of civilizations. Believe them.

Hi Anthony. Not sure if you are based in Ireland yourself. In any case, to project this civilisational motivation upon - and presume this historical knowledge on behalf of - the muslims in Ireland, is a gross generalisation. There are also serious problems with implying an overarching (and everlasting) *theological motivation* based on the historical campaigns of three *political* dynasties. It is equivalent to presuming imperial ambitions on behalf of Christians present in lands that have a history of Christian-led colonialism - absurd! It is also out of step with my experience with countless (Irish) muslims, including ones in my family.

I concede I do not know the Irish situation close up, but I know the English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Austrian, Swedish, and American situations well enough to disagree with you on both anecdotes ("lived experience") as well as data. And no, the conclusions are based on current statements and actions; the historical references are for context. I also know individual Muslims or former Muslim Arabs from various countries who are kind and have no one iota of anti-Western hatred, including some who are Zionist. That does not change the calling-out of the Islamists' agenda, which is winning.
