How is this different than, and needed in addition to, FAIR?

Good question. I discussed this a bit during the FBT podcast interview with Connie that was published yesterday. In a nutshell, I started FAIR to be a civil liberties organization that actively takes on legal and policy issues.

What I found over the two years that I ran and grew FAIR is that it is difficult, and perhaps not possible, for an “activist” organization to avoid being politicized, or redirected from its original mission. We have seen this with the ACLU, and with many other organizations that have lost sight of their original purpose and mission.

The Prohuman Foundation is strictly an educational organization focused on creating curriculum (which will be published this fall), and promoting the foundational truth that every person is a unique individual united by our shared humanity.

I appreciate the ideals of the Prohuman Foundation...

but surely I'm not the only person who was reminded of this:

Great Seinfeld episode!

For context, Daryl Davis and I decided to use the term “prohuman” because we don’t think it makes sense to define yourself by what you are against (e.g., “antiracist”), and wanted a word that expressed our belief that the way to actually overcome racism, antisemitism, bigotry, etc. is to embrace our shared humanity.

Hence Prohuman Foundation.

Not sure how this jives with Israel's collective punishment of 2 million innocent people in Gaza who are being starved, tortured, blown to bits, etc. Tens of thousands confirmed dead and tens of thousands missing. Homes obliterated of 1.75 million people. 22 hospitals destroyed. All four universities destroyed. 400 journalists assassinated. The targeted killing of hundreds of doctors and nurses. Professors, poets, farmers, grandmothers, babies blown to bits. 8000 Palestinians being held without charge in Israel jails where they are being severely tortured. Sexual abuse of boys, men, and women by the IDF. Laughing, dancing Israeli civilians blocking food aid to a starving population. The list goes on. Oh, and being found guilty of genocide by an international court. FAIR has a long way to go to become truly pro-human which would recognize the grotesquely racist, illegal and profoundly immoral acts Israel is engaging in which are completely horrifying the entire world.

What sources do you have to back up these claims? Hamas gladly uses the Gazan people as human sheilds, and it sites its weapons and rocket launching pads adjacent to or even in schools and hospitals. Casualty figures are given - completely unverified and unvarifiable - solely by Hamas puppets.

I am sure that some IDF soldiers have behaved badly (it's hard to imagine that no soldier would respond to Hamas' cruelty without wishing to inflict some vengeance upon the Gazans who celebrated the vicious attack of October 7 with dancing in the streets) but it is not IDF policy to do so. They have taken great care to warn civilians of coming attacks.

If the Gazans are victims, they are victims of a genocidal leadership who exploit the Muslim belief that dying in Jihad guarantees entrance into paradise, and that Jews need to be wiped from the face of the earth.
