Wonderful dialogue. I remember micro aggression workshops in corporate programs back in 2007. Businesses (in this case an investment bank in Boston) paid big dollars for a one day workshop (10K per day). I attendee one as a guest and found it interesting but not quite convincing. Since @2016 I have seen this explode on college campuses (my own is in Boston where I teach). I never heard of B.E.S.T., but it sounds like a disaster. Keep on talking.
It strikes me as a psychological operation to divide people along group lines.Keeping people focused on minor perceived personal injuries instead of the larger societal issues that are staining all working people.
If people came together to protest against the glaring economic crisis and suffering of the working classes ,that would be real power.
Do gooder totalitarians are the worst. Are people dumb and sometimes say stupid things? Yes. Were they trying to offend? Usually not. Anyone’s grandma could explain this. Instead we have people creating resentment and misunderstanding on an institutional scale. FFS.
Wonderful article. If you'e interested in the empirical and scientific issues related to the study of microaggressions, this article by Lilienfedl is a must. He spent much of his career debunking some especially bad ideas and worthless therapeutic trends in psychology. One of our best critical thinkers, but, sadly, no longer with us. The microaggrression concept is on very shaky scientific ground, and I think Lilienfeld's article is a must read: https://doi.org/10.1177/1745691616659391
I find the ideology of micro aggressions to be an aggression. Who can I report it to?

Can't have that.

Very nourishing, thanks. Well done. Looking forward to part two!
Simple, honest, truthful. Love it.
Great work guys, and thanks for keeping the comments open so aspiring (broke) satire authors like me can chip in :D

"Boutique critique" is a wonderfully apt expression.
