It’s a long article but make sure to read the linked article he included by David Buss…

“This point has also been stressed by David Buss. In an essay titled The Mating Crisis Among Educated Women, Buss observes that it is no coincidence that the rise of hookup culture on college campuses has developed alongside the growing proportion of female students.”

It’s fascinating how the proportion of males to females in a population can affect social behavior between men and women. Knowing this can possibly help find solutions to the marriage crisis we are finding in so many different parts of our society today.

This may tie into your comment about the proportion of males and females in a population affecting social behavior. When I managed a restaurant, I noticed that less work got done when men and women worked together as servers on the floor. The guys were too busy doing their work and trying to the work the women should be doing. If I decreased the number of female servers or had all guys as servers, the guys worked hard and got more done. If I had all female servers, the manager on duty had to do his work as well as help them.

Super interesting!

What’s great about your story is that you, #1. NOTICED what was causing the problem and #2. were able to implement changes to resolve the issue!

The article caused a light bulb to go on in my mind! I never could have guessed something like that could have such an effect on behavior. I think we spend a lot of time trying to fix issues without really understanding what’s causing them. And sadly failing.

Great interview. Interestingly enough, the article Mr. Squires wrote is referenced in a

story written by Conor Jameson. The story never mentions Mr. Squires and refers to him as the "author". Jameson does provide a link to the actual article that Squires wrote. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/black-wives-matter-research-concludes-america-needs-to-rebuild-the-black-family/ar-BB1ik313?ocid=winp1&pc=DCTS&cvid=2a9c4c1684b4437a9c4329c3bc78fb6d&ei=51

Great convo! As a 25-year veteran homeschooler (ex-public school teacher, to boot), I loved hearing Delano and his wife's journey to homeschooling and recognizing the value of that decision.

Bravo to you both! At 68 years of age I consider myself to be a black conservative Democrat who votes as an independent in general elections. I felt at home while listening to this broadcast. It’s a rare feeling these days. Through faith and knowing that there are rational young Black people such as yourselves willing to take a stand for what’s right in society and for the betterment of the Black Community I continue to have hope. Please keep up the good work, and I’ll keep searching for a way to be of use in the struggle for a moral, ethical, rational and FREE America. I’m glad I found your podcast via Substack.
