First came the Marxist-Leninists, whose greatest achievements included a mountain of corpses and an economic policy that produced mostly corruption and starvation.

Then came the Marxist-Freudians, who inspired the spoiled children of the 60s to make some good music and enjoy some quality orgies, before they became stockbrokers and spent the rest of their lives in therapy, unable to ever stop talking about themselves.

Then Dr Marcuse got his corpse back on the table and cobbled together a new monster made of stale yet unkillable ideology and a stew of boiling grievance called "the coalition of the marginalized."

And this has led us to today's Marxist-Racialists...lord only knows what kind of wreckage they will leave behind.

This was a refreshing essay in that it departs from contemporary writings and with that gives a fresh perspective on racialized language that is fortifying the current obsession with race.

I enjoyed this read. Thank you.

What a wonderfully written review. You had me hooked with your opening line - … is comfort food for the rational connoisseur. I found your prose both captivating and educating. I have recently picked up Thomas Sowell’s book, Black Rednecks and White Liberals on the recommendation of a friend. I not far into it, but I can see crossover in many of the points you highlighted. Interestingly, he wrote this before “woke” but he clearly seen it coming. If you haven’t wrote one already, I’d love you to review it as well and hear your thoughts.

I have little to no doubt if you were to present Martin Luther King's five principles of nonviolence to Social Justice Warriors and their ilk in such a way that they would not be seen as coming from King they would be overwhelmingly rejected. Though we may be reaching the point where King himself could be rejected. There is little of King to be found there in much the same way there is little of Jesus to be found by those who worship at the altar of Trump. They have both become a nuisance to the cause.
